We are excited to be partnering with Operation Christmas Child again this year. Operation Christmas Child takes shoeboxes full of fun toys and goodies and distributes them to children across the globe; many of whom have never received a gift before. Through these gifts, the children are able to experience the love of God, as these shoeboxes are treasures to them and show that there are people who care.

As the shoeboxes are being distributed, local pastors and church leaders present the Gospel in a fun and unique way designed especially for children. Subsequently, the children will have an opportunity to enroll in a Bible study course called The Greatest Journey.

Here’s how we can help:

  • Shoebox
    • Pick up a shoebox for a girl or boy (affix boy/girl gift label).
    • You can use a regular shoebox, a shoebox from Samaritan’s Purse, or a plastic box from Samaritan’s Purse (Hobby Lobby has these – Hobby Lobby gives you ideas of what to pack – right at their store)
    • We will have shoeboxes available at church beginning on Saturday, October 28 during Fall Fest.
  • Girl or Boy?
    • Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.
  • Include a “wow” toy
    • Select a quality “wow” toy such as a doll, soccer ball with pump, or stuffed animal
  • Fill with gifts
    • Add other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
    • Please NO candy, toothpaste, or lotion.
    • For complete list of acceptable (and restricted) items, click here.
  • Pray
    • Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift, include a personal note and photo.
    • If you would like to communicate with the child who receives your shoebox, you can include your email address in the shoebox.
  • Include $9 donation
    • Donate $9 for shipping costs. Discover the destination of your shoebox by giving to Follow Your Box online.
  • Drop Off
    • Drop off your shoebox at the church during the week of November 12.
