Thursdays, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Most people say that separation and divorce are some of the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. This is a confusing time when you feel all alone and have questions about issues you’ve never come across before. DivorceCare groups meet weekly to help answer these questions, face these challenges, and work toward rebuilding your life.
Unless you’ve been there, it’s hard to understand the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. This is why many of your friends and family members don’t fully understand what you’re going through and don’t know how best to help you.
DivorceCare groups are led by people who have been through divorce and have successfully rebuilt their lives. These sessions feature three key aspects: group discussion, personal workbook and video seminar. Most people quickly feel comfortable and accepted by their DivorceCare group – they discover there are others who have very similar feelings and who understand the hurt and pain they’re going through.
Some of the topics covered include:
January 12 – April 13 (14 weeks)
- Facing My Anger
- Facing My Depression
- Kid Care
- Moving On, Growing Closer To God
We will begin our next session of DivorceCare Thursday, January 5, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. This group will meet for 14 consecutive weeks. There is a cost for a workbook of $15. You can purchase the workbook on the first night of class. We are able to offer childcare, with registration, for ages 2 – 10 years old.People who have been through this before say:
- “Within minutes I felt accepted and safe.”
- “DivorceCare was a very positive experience for me… In DivorceCare I finally had people to talk to and listen who knew exactly what I was going through.”
- “Gave me hope and tools to move on.”
